Free router access.
Many of you are aware the I have redesigned the labs. I finished last week cableing the access server and testing the config. Everything works perfect remember the rules on the index page. In the near future I will place a switching lab up. Here is a network map of the current lab. Hope everyone enjoys.

Hello I just joined this site. Can tell me what can and can not do here. Tell how this actually works.
Hey,
Thanks for the question. We offer this site to help people who do not have access to cisco routers to train for the Cisco Certifications. To use the routers you need to telnet to as.ccnalabs.net. Once connected the password is cisco. This is central access server for the pod of routers. You can issue several commands to access the routers. “Show hosts” will show the names of the hosts attached to the pod at this time. I have placed a network simulation map on the page http://ccnalab.net/router/free-router-access/ This will give you a general feeling of how the routers are connected. To access the routers or switch all you need to do from the access server is telnet to a specific router. For example telnet LA will allow you into the LA router.
Once you are connected to the router you have full access to any command in the IOS. If there is a configuration already on the router you can erase by issuing the command “erase start” Please do not place passwords on the routers. If you must make them cisco. I receive emails all the time to reset routers because of password issues.
Last to leave the router session issue a ctrl + shift + x all at one time this will suspend your connection. You can then telnet to another router or type “disconnect” while at the access server. This will also close any open sessions to the routers in the pod.
Please enjoy and I hope this helps in your exam prep. If you have any questions please post or email admin@ccnalab.net
Thanks
